Bob Thomas Sr. Founder / CEO

“Bobby” started Electric Car over 50 years ago selling “electro caddies” while employed at Thunderbird C.C. The business grew and he opened up his first location with brother Eddie. The business blossomed from there and Bobby has grown Electric Car from a two man operation to a business grossing over 17 million annually. To date the business sells to more than a hundred valley golf courses. In addition, to Personal use cars, ECD sells fleets cars to the clubs and industrial vehicle to municipalities.

JR Thomas - President

JR, aka Robert Thomas Jr, has been with ECD for over 33 years, currently serving as the President of Sales and Service. JR grew up in the business and has several years of experience in DC electric, holds several certificates of training, and has taught classes at our local college for golf car management & fleet maintenance for over 8 years. JR is a Dale Carnegie graduate and has several years of customer service training. JR's first passion was baseball, but got hurt, and that was the end of his very short career.

Diane Sheehan - Vice President

Diane has been with Electric Car for over 21 years, and is in charge of Business Administration and System Operations. She brings a wealth of knowledge to this very demanding position, as well as a 15-year Paralegal background. Diane has a beautiful daughter, Tara, who is also on the Team here at ECD, and son, Anthony, who is enjoying a successful music career while holding top sales accolades with T-Mobile. Diane enjoys living in beautiful Idyllwild, where the air is clean & cool.

Paul E. Bennett - Chief Financial Officer

Paul Bennett, Chief Financial Officer has over 30 years experience working in sports related industries, including owning a tennis apparel business and working for a golf club manufacturer. Paul graduated from Cal Poly University, Pomona CA with a degree in business administration. Paul has worked for Electric Car Distributers for over 13 years and has enjoyed helping build the company into one of the largest golf car dealers in the United States. Paul resides in Palm Springs with his wife Kathleen.

George Thomas - Director of Service Department

George Thomas started in the golf car business in 1976 here at Electric Car Dist. He has worked in many different departments, learning many skills along the way. George was transferred to Western Golf Car and worked his way up to GM. He returned home to ECD in 2007 and has the Service Dept humming like a Swiss watch. George lives in LaQuinta with his lovely wife, Rosalind. His son Kahil lives in San Diego, daughter Sara lives in Oregon, and daughter Rose lives in the Bay Area. George loves his 6 grandsons and enjoys quality time taking them to ball games and just having fun.

Jason Stella - General Manager, Sales and Service

Jason has been with ECD for over 20 years and holds Certified Training degrees from Club Car, Yamaha, and E-Z-Go. Jason has a complete grasp of DC electric vehicles and gas powered vehicles. Along with training our technicians, he is charged with quoting fleets, large deals, and running special projects. He has a lovely wife, Octavia, and 3 beautiful daughters, Melissa, Marissa, and Clarissa. They live in LaQuinta and enjoy family outings, taking the motor home and boat to the river, and rock crawling. Jason is pursuing his pilot license and is a highly motivated individual.

Rick Wucker - Parts Dept. Manager

Ricky has been with ECD for over 25 years and has a vast knowledge of all parts for all carts, as we like to say. Ricky has a great personality and is very service oriented. His favorite foods are pizza and cheeseburgers!

Tara Sheehan - Executive Assistant to VP and CFO, and Accounts Payable Supervisor

Tara is the granddaughter of our founder and daughter of the Vice President of this family-run business. Tara came on board with Electric Car after graduating from high school and has been with us for 10 years. She is an efficient asset and integral part of the Electric Car Team and we are very proud of her. Tara resides in Palm Springs with her husband Steve, step daughter Alexis, and their first born son Joshua -- just born in November of 2010.

Grace Ullan - Sales Coordinator

Grace has been happily employed at ECD for just under five years. She enjoys being the liaison between sales and production in her role as Sales Coordinator. Grace works in our accounting office, and her main responsibility is making sure orders get put in and followed up on. You won’t find a harder worker than Grace; she is always up and always willing to help when asked. Her work ethic is second to none. She captivates the term "Team Work" and is one of our Star Players. Grace has 3 sons, all good boys and very active in all sports.

Charlene Marsh - Accounts Receivables and Human Resources

Charlene has been happily employed at Electric Car Distributors for 15 years. She is currently in charge of Accounts Receivables and Human Resources. Some of her responsibilities include daily deposits, monthly statements, payroll, and calculating commissions for all salespeople. Prior to working at Electric Car Distributors, Charlene worked 12 years in the banking industry. She is a native of the Coachella Valley and currently resides in Palm Desert.

Christina Murdica - Rental Manager

Christina is JR’s daughter and has over 10 years of experience at Electric Car. She has worked in all facets of the office including data input, customer service, billing, and warranty. She is here to service all your rental needs from a one-day commercial rental to a three-month personal golf car rental. Christina will handle getting you set up for delivery to picking up your vehicle when you are finished with it. All you have to do is drive & enjoy your vehicle and Christina will take care of the rest.

Reyna Camarena - Sales Administrator

Reyna is in her 3^rd year at College of the Desert, taking accounting classes and majoring in psychology. Reyna has worked for Electric Car Distributors 5 ½ years and enjoys contributing to this successful establishment and loves helping make customers’ experiences a pleasant one. Reyna resides in La Quinta with her fiancé Ernesto and two daughters. She enjoys cooking, reading, dancing, and spending quality time with her family.

Marco Orosco - Shop Foreman

Marco has over 15 years of experience at Electric Car. He has worked in the shop garage all of his career and his vast experience makes no job difficult. Marco oversees the shop technicians to ensure your car is repaired correctly the first time. He is here to service all your car repairs. He’ll troubleshoot your concern and do whatever is necessary to get your car repaired and delivered back to you in a timely manner. Marco works closely with every technician in the shop to ensure he is in close touch with every job.

Danny Morales - Rental Manager

Danny has over 15 years of experience at Electric Car. He has worked in many facets of the business including customer service, warranty, and car repair. He is here to service all your rental needs from prepping your rental to pick-up & delivery. Danny will make sure your car is delivered on time, in good working condition, and arrange for pick-up when you're finished. He wants to make sure your experience at Elecrtric Car is the best it can be. Danny has lived in the valley for 25 years and lives in Cathedral City with two children.

Lane Sabel - Special Project Manager

Lane Joined Electric Car in 2006 and has worked his way through just about every position here at ECD. Lane's talents are many, but he is a specialist in programming complex controllers and programming A/C drives motor/controllers. Lane holds several training certificates from Club Car, E-Z-Go, and Yamaha. Lane also trains our technicians on how to properly program and change settings. Lane's newest position is part-time outside sales. We wish him luck in this challenging position. Lane has a wife, Bonnie, and 2 awesome sons. They reside in Indio.

Patty Rodriguez - Purchasing Manager

Patty worked in Silicon Valley for 20+ years as a Purchasing Manager and Inventory Analyst. She has a certification from San Jose State University for Purchasing Management. She moved to the Desert in 2001. Her purchasing career has included computers, wafer fab equipment, medical ultrasound equipment, and automotive (golf and electric cars). Patty has traveled extensively with her husband and enjoys cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.
